Psalms: Songs of the Old Testament – Part 1

Saturday 21 June,
9:00am
-11:00am

“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life.” Psalm 23:6

Feel the rhythms of the Psalms, the songbook of the Bible, as they describe timeless truths.

The Psalms is a collection of poetic songs and prayers, written over several years, by many different authors, including King David. They reflect the shifting landscapes of Israel’s circumstances, times of peace and prosperity, as well as war and exile, and express praise, worship, lament, and thanksgiving to God. Whether personal cries for help or communal hymns of celebration, these songs have comforted, encouraged, and inspired people for centuries.
